The Famagusta province rally races start at the weekend

With 35 participations from all over Cyprus, the calendar of the Pancyprian Rally Championship starts next weekend, February 11-12, with the race of the province of Famagusta.

The two-day 30th "East Safari Rally", will start at Agios Georgios Square in Paralimni at noon on Saturday, February 11 and will end at noon on Sunday, February 12.

As stated by the President of "Famagusta Motor Sport Club" and Leader of this year's Race, George Rousos, in this year's event participate 35 cars with last year's winner Christos Demosthenous and his co-driver Pambo Lao with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 9 of "Petrolina Eni Racing Team" , while it is encouraging that the province of Famagusta counts 9 participations.

The calendar of the games:

The race will start at noon on Saturday from Mitropoleos square in Paralimni and includes 3 daily special routes in Paralimni, Kavo Greko, Sotira, Agia Thekla, Frenaros and will be repeated as evening special routes, where they will end at 8 pm.

On Sunday, the program of special routes starts at 9 in the morning and includes Paralimni, Vrysoules, Avgorou, Liopetri, Xylofagou and Ayia Napa. The special stages will be repeated at noon, while the program of the races will be completed at noon on Sunday.

Both the organizers and the local authorities recommend attention to those who will watch the race and follow the instructions of the security staff.

Organizers are the Famagusta Motor Sport Club, the Cyprus Automobile Federation and the Cyprus Sports Organization.
