According to the Turkish Cypriot press, the Turkish Cypriots are "responsible" for their participation in the Berlin tourism fair. In his statements, the so-called "deputy minister" of tourism, environment and culture of the pseudo-state Sahak Sikoglou said that an increase of 2012% is expected in 40 in the arrival of German tourists in the occupied territories.
He also said that Germany is the third blood donor of tourism in the occupied territories, with Turkey first and England second.
The pavilion set up by the pseudo-state at the ITB Berlin 2012 exhibition was visited by many visitors and the message was given that many Germans are expected to visit the occupied territories.
Mr. Sikoglou also said that during the exhibition the Turkish Cypriots had the opportunity to meet with German travel agents.
He also claimed that the "Southern Cyprus" logo will be a new brand in the European and international market.
