The projects concern the construction of sidewalks, paving and paving of roads, landscaping and creation of green spaces, undergrounding of street lighting, strengthening and undergrounding of utilities throughout the study area, design and construction of a rainwater system, traffic management measures, including Arrangements for restricting the various movements of cars and other wheeled vehicles, change of the existing water supply network, creation of underground parking spaces, archeological coverage and configuration of building facades.
As G. Takkas mentioned, this is a project of great importance, since it will radically change the face of the core of the Municipality of Sotira, while it will give a new character to the image of the community. The goal is, he noted, Sotira to acquire its own identity in terms of the aesthetics of the buildings and the landscape of the center. The project will aim to expand and add an area of "People's Neighborhood" which will contribute to attracting tourists to the Savior, while encouraging residents to promote their traditional products and activities.
The project, the cost of which is expected to reach 2 million euros, was a long-standing request of the residents of Sotira, since the landscaping of the square and the surrounding area of the Municipality is an important project in the complete renovation of Sotira.
Sotira noted the mayor, she will get a new look, since the modern design will be perfectly combined with the traditional element, without losing its identity, but on the other hand a new image of a square will be created in the standards of European cities.
