The operation of nightclubs, reception areas, discos, centers is allowed entertainment and music and dance venues, under the following conditions:

Interiors:

• 300 persons with the necessary presentation of SafePass, as the provisions of the respective Decree, or

• 500 persons, provided that all persons present a certificate of integrated vaccination or a certificate that they have been ill with COVID-19 the last 6 months and hold a certificate of recovery as the provisions of each Decree.

Outdoors:

• 350 persons with the necessary presentation of SafePass, as the provisions of the respective Decree, or

• 500 persons, provided that all persons present a certificate of integrated vaccination or a certificate that they have been ill with COVID-19 the last 6 months and hold a certificate of recovery as the provisions of each Decree.

In all indoor and outdoor areas and / or organizations and / or companies and / or premises where, subject to the distancing measures, there is the possibility of gathering more than 10 persons, including employees, it is required:

(a) for persons aged 6 to 11 years the demonstration of either a negative laboratory test or a rapid antigen detection test for the disease Covid-19 with the sampling having taken place within 7 days, or a certificate of recovery from his illness Covid-19 valid for six months from the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis,

(b) for persons aged 12 to 17 years the demonstration of either a negative laboratory test or a rapid antigen detection test for the disease Covid-19 with sampling completed within 72 hours, or a certificate of integrated vaccination for the disease Covid-19, or a certificate of recovery from his illness Covid-19, valid for six months from the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis,

(c) for persons 18 years of age and older demonstrating either a comprehensive vaccination certificate for the disease Covid-19, or a certificate of recovery from his illness Covid-19, valid for six months from the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis, either a negative laboratory test with the sampling done within 72 hours, or a negative rapid antigen detection test for the disease Covid-19 with the sampling taking place within 72 hours and from 1 December 2021 within 48 hours:

From December 15, ONLY people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine will be able to enter, provided they have a negative laboratory test result PCR or rapid antigen detection test (fast test).

• Employees are excluded by submitting a negative laboratory test PCR or rapid antigen detection test (fast test).

• Excluding hotel occupants, who will be able to visit the on-site dining areas, provided they have a valid SafePass.

• Children aged 6-11 are excluded, provided they own SafePass while for children under 6 years there is no restriction.

Businesses / establishments that will choose to host only citizens who have been vaccinated or have been ill for the last 6 months, should make sure that they display in a prominent place in their business / establishment, as well as inform the citizens, about their decision. This information should be provided by telephone upon booking, regardless of whether the company chooses to inform the public through the Media or Social Media

The owner / manager of the premises / company must inform the Ministry of Health with a signed written responsible statement (attached as Annex 1), that in his premises he will accept only fully vaccinated persons or persons who have a certificate of recovery from the COVID-19 the last six months. The update is sent to the email address healthservices@mphs.moh.gov.cy., It is clarified that the decision of each premises to accept SafePass or only vaccinated / sick, concerns the entire premises and NO different provision may apply for the interior and different for the exterior.

It is also clarified that in case a company / establishment wishes to operate both its interior and exterior at the same time, it should do so in proportion and in accordance with the above, so that the maximum number of people who will be present at the same time in the business / premises (indoor and outdoor), not to exceed 500 people in total. For example, since a business operates with SafePass, it can accommodate both indoor and outdoor patrons, provided that the maximum number of 250 people inside and 350 people outside is observed, with the total number of people not exceeding 500.

The owner and / or manager and / or administrator who is in control of the business and / or establishment is responsible for the observance of the Regulations provided in the respective Decree as well as the protocol, and may, in writing, assign the control in writing to an authorized the same employee / employee or in a Private Security Services Office or a Private Guard as the provisions of the respective Decree,

The service of the guests is done exclusively on table seats and the guests must be seated. The maximum number of persons per table is set at 12 people

When placing the tables, care must be taken so that from table to table in all directions there is a distance of at least one meter (1).

The operation and use of the bars inside and outside the Entertainment Centers is limited exclusively for the preparation of drinks by the employees and the direct service from the bar is prohibited, with the exception of the companies that choose to accept only vaccinated / sick people where  It is allowed the operation of the bars that are part of the service of an Entertainment Center for 5 people to sit or stand at a distance of 1m from the next group with a similar possibility and with an intermediate distance of 1.m. E.G. if someone is alone the seat next to him will be 1 meter away the same will apply from the last person in a group.

Location for Discotheques who choose to accept only vaccinated / sick people

  1. Standing around a high table maximum number of people 10 and distance between tables (Groups) is set at 1.50 meters or.
  2. Standing around a high table maximum number of people 8 and distance between tables (Groups) is set at 1 meter.

In any case, dancing is not allowed, regardless of the type of music offered. Excluded from the dance ban are establishments / businesses that only host fully vaccinated people or people who have a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 the last six months. The owner / manager of the premises / company must inform and obtain approval from the Ministry of Health that in his premises he will accept only fully vaccinated persons or persons who have a certificate of recovery from the COVID-19 the last six months. It must be posted at the entrance of each establishment stating the maximum number of people allowed to be indoors / outdoors, the responsibility for maintaining the maximum number of people rests with the person in charge of the business. The maximum number of people is mentioned above for indoor and outdoor areas and according to the option to use the area only for vaccinated.

General Instructions and Rules.

-Supply the toilets with liquid soap, disposable paper towels (which will be discarded in foot-operated bins near the sinks), and antiseptic alcohol solution (70% alcohol content).

Cleaning and disinfection instructions for the cleaning staff inside the Entertainment Center.

Thorough and frequent cleaning of common objects.

-Special care must be taken for the systematic, adequate and continuous natural ventilation of the premises where the staff works (kitchen, etc.).

-All surfaces, floors, counters, cabinets, bathrooms (floors, basins, sinks, etc.) must be kept clean and disinfected at regular intervals during the day.

-Besides the usual cleaning work, frequent cleaning of frequently used smooth surfaces (eg knobs, handles, handrails or railings, lifts, switches, taps, etc.) with common cleaners, ie liquid soap and water, is required. , or 10% household bleach solution (1 part household bleach diluted in 10 parts water, or according to the instructions for use on the package) or alcoholic antiseptic (at least 70% alcohol content). Please note that cleaning work must be done using gloves and a work uniform.

-Special attention should be paid to the cleaning of objects and surfaces, which came into contact with a person who showed symptoms of the virus.

-The plastic bags of the bins, when full, must be tied tightly and removed immediately. Gloves after use should be discarded immediately in the plastic bags of the bins and no attempts should be made to clean them, e.g. washing disposable gloves and reusing them.

  1. Precautionary and personal hygiene instructions for employees

-Separation of employees into working groups, so that there is limited interaction between groups to limit the possibility of its spread COVID-19. These groups are as stable as possible in their composition. 

-Social distancing of employees.

Avoid contact of hands with eyes, nose and mouth to reduce the risk of infection with the virus.

-Avoid talking, coughing or inhaling-exhale deeply when handling open food.

-In coughing or sneezing, cover the nose and mouth with a tissue, or with the sleeve at elbow height if they do not manage to get a tissue. Used tissue should be disposed of immediately with waste.

-Regularly wash employees' hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Careful drying of hands with disposable paper towels which will be disposed of in the recycle bin. Hand washing must be done after contact with respiratory secretions and after using the toilet. Please note that gloves are not a substitute for hand washing.

-People with symptoms of a respiratory infection should not come to work until the end of the symptoms.

-Staff should wear a mask, following the instructions below:

i. The mask must be suitable (surgical mask),

ii. Apply properly to the face to cover both the mouth and nose,

iii. To be changed frequently so that over time it does not become a source of germs (staphylococcus, etc.).

  1. Toilets

Use of disinfectant cleaners.

- Markings of distance keeping measures and hygiene rules.

-There will be an uninterrupted supply of toilets with liquid soap and antiseptic alcohol solution (at least 70% alcohol content) for hand disinfection, and disposable hand towels which will be discarded in bins with a lever (or other mechanism that prevents contact with hands ) near the sinks. These buckets must have a plastic bag inside.

-In the toilets there is a ban on the use of machines for drying hands with hot air (jet air dryers) as their operation may lead to the dispersion of droplets.

-At the entrances outside the toilets, the required distance of 2 meters must be strictly observed by placing a mark on the floor and a guard if necessary, to ensure that the distances of at least 2 meters between people and the maximum number of people inside the toilets are observed.

-Especially regarding the ventilation in the common indoor toilets, if possible, where there is an installed technical ventilation system, to ensure the technical ventilation of the toilets on a continuous basis 24 hours a day and to prevent the opening of the toilet windows to achieve the correct direction of ventilation-ventilation. If there is no technical ventilation system installed then the doors and windows remain open 24 hours a day, or at least for several hours both before and after each operation of the Entertainment Center.
