Egypt is taking precautionary measures around the Zor deposit.
According to the Egypt Independent newspaper, the spokesman of the country's armed forces, said that the measures are taken in case of any kind of threats around the deposit.
"The navy is conducting military exercises to safeguard vital and strategic interests in the Egyptian navy. "The exercises are done to protect our financial interests and our country's investments to strengthen our national economy," said spokesman Tamer al-Rafei.
According to him, Egypt utilizes modern naval forces, frigates, submarines and missiles with exceptional capabilities.
