Zero time for Agung volcano, in Northeastern Bali. After his many days of roaring, he exploded, turning the eyes of the world to Bali and the evolution of the phenomenon, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus issues a statement for the affected Cypriot citizens.

The announcement of the Ministry is as follows:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the Agung volcano in Northeastern Bali has erupted. Due to this, the volcanic cloud has led to the temporary suspension of flights from the local airport (Ngurah Rai International Airport). Affected Cypriots are encouraged to contact their travel agents or airlines to arrange their flights.

It is recommended that Cypriots in Indonesia, particularly in Bali, be especially careful to stay outside the designated empty zone (which stretches between 9 and 12 km from the volcano crater) and follow the instructions of local authorities and follow the media.

Cypriot citizens who intend to travel to the area are kindly requested to re-evaluate the situation and be informed of the developments before arranging and making their trip.
