A female surfer "tamed" a giant wave 21 meters high and broke a record

Last Thursday, the French surfer Justin Deepont managed to break an important record on the beach of Nazareth in Portugal. The famous surfer managed to dominate a wave of about 21 meters.

If the final measurement confirms the initial estimate then Dipont will have broken the world record for the biggest wave "climbed" by a female surfer. At the moment the record belongs to the Brazilian surfer Maya Gabeira who in 2018 ran a wave of 20,72 meters.

The final announcement is expected in May 2020 during the WSL Big Wave Awards.

"It was one of the most impressive races I have ever seen in Nazareth. Her race was perfect. I also recorded the record of 2018 and I find it difficult to say which wave was the biggest "said Pedro Miranda, the man who recorded the effort of the French surfer last Thursday.

In fact, Dipont herself uploaded to youtube footage from the camera that was attached to her board, and they are impressive!
