Prime Minister Theresa May ratified Brexit law by Queen Elizabeth following consultations in the British Parliament and the European Union.
The legislation will effectively end the country's membership in the European Union.
The Speaker of the House of Commons, John Berkau, during a meeting of the House, stated that:
"I must inform the House, in accordance with the Act of Royal Approval of 1967, that Her Majesty has given its approval to the following set of laws… Act of Withdrawal from the European Union 2018"
It is recalled that the legislation on the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union was passed by both houses of Parliament.
