A Belgian judge has not ruled on a European arrest warrant issued by Spain against ousted Catalan leader Carles Puigdemon and four former Catalan government ministers following a hearing in Brussels today.
The Belgian prosecutor has requested the execution of the arrest warrant, but Putzdemon's lawyers and their associates will present their arguments during their speech at a hearing on December 4th.
"The prosecutor has requested the execution of the European arrest warrant" before a judge who is expected to finally take a position on the matter, one of the lawyers, Christophe Marsan, told reporters.
The lawyer described the first appearance before the court in Brussels of the former officials of the Catalan leadership as "very calm".
