A 32-year-old model from Mexico died suddenly after undergoing plastic surgery.
The unfortunate girl from the city of Coahuila, had traveled to Nuevo Leon to undergo a new nose surgery and liposuction, at the hospital Obispado Specialist Medical Center.
The mother of two allegedly died of cardiorespiratory arrest while in the resuscitation room. Her family will wait for the results of the forensic examination, which will determine the exact causes of her death, before making accusations against anyone.
The Mexican health minister said authorities would wait for the investigation to be completed before giving details of the tragedy.
A friend who arrived at the clinic to take her home was informed of her death and immediately informed her family, who requested an investigation into a possible medical error or negligence that cost the 32-year-old her life.
Santa Santoval was also a designer and represented her country in several international events, where she stood out with her designs and the influences of her Mexican origin.
Second incident in a year
A similar incident occurred last year when a real estate agent from Dallas, Texas traveled to Mexico for plastic surgery and died.
Her family claims that a doctor put anesthesia in the wrong place and led her to a heart attack, which resulted in fatal brain damage, Fox News reports.
