Leave behind objects trapped with bombs - Already a doctor has lost his life
A man has been killed and two women injured in Germany by bomb-laden objects left behind by a gardener who has died and appears to be taking revenge on the grave.
A 64-year-old German doctor was killed by an explosion at the entrance of his office on Friday morning. Police believe the bomb was in a package picked up by the victim. Also, two women - a mother and a daughter most likely - were injured when a bomb-trapped firewood exploded on their stove on Sunday.
German police have already warned citizens who had a dispute or quarrel with 59-year-old Bernhard Grohmann to be on alert if they contact the authorities. "Investigators estimate that he put an explosive device at the entrance of the doctor's office. Most likely, the doctor lifted the mechanism, which was covered, from the floor. "This caused the explosion," the police statement said.
Grohmann was found dead at his home in the western German town of Mellingen on Friday night. An autopsy will show if he committed suicide with poison. The doctor was killed in the nearby village of Enkenbach-Alsenborn, while the two women were injured in Ottenberg, a few kilometers from Graumann's house.
All three victims knew the gardener, but had quarreled with him. "Grumman did not have a good relationship with these people," police said. "In both cases there was a conflict. Police cannot rule out the possibility that Graumann was making preparations to endanger other people's lives before his death. We call on the people who had a problematic personal or professional relationship with him to contact the police urgently ", the same announcement states.
