The Kremlin has complained that Washington's decision to sound the alarm over US troops ready to deploy to Europe if necessary escalates tensions around Ukraine.
NATO announced yesterday that it was deploying troops and strengthening Eastern Europe with additional warships and aircraft, in a move that Moscow describes as a Western "hysteria" in response to the concentration of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.
