The first Full Moon of the year appeared in the night sky on the night of Tuesday, January 17 and the spectacle was unique. This Full Moon has been named the Full Moon of the Wolf.

The full moon of January, also known as the full moon of the Wolf, reached its peak in the early hours of Tuesday (1:48 a.m.). However, the moonrise began to appear about 24 minutes before sunset, according to Space.
Some of the observers in the sky may have been lucky enough to see Pollux, the brightest star in the constellation of Gemini, according to a NASA announcement.

The January full moon was named the "Wolf Moon" because wolves howled at the moon at this time of year. The wolves howled more during the winter because of hunger.
