The 26-year-old girl was found dead in her apartment
A 26-year-old girl from India cooled off trying to bring her baby into the world alone, with a unique video guide from the well-known online video projection platform Youtube.
The unmarried mother was found dead when a neighbor alerted Indian police in the town of Gorakhpur, saying she saw "blood running under the door of her apartment".
According to the Times of India, one possible reason behind the desperate attempt of the desperate girl to give birth to her baby on her own, was the "fear of social stigma that follows unmarried mothers in India".
The local police chief told the newspaper: "The owner of the apartment broke down the door and found the unfortunate woman and a newborn baby boy lying dead on the floor. She immediately informed the police, who later, examining her mobile phone, discovered that the last video she had seen was entitled "how to give birth to your baby yourself".
A pair of scissors, a blade and threads were found near the woman's body.
