The Kiev metro has reopened after a bomb warning turned out to be false, announced by the company that manages the metro a few hours before the Ukrainian capital hosts the UEFA Champions League final.

"The stations were searched and opened to passengers. "No explosives were found," the company announced on Facebook.

Earlier in the day, authorities closed five Kiev metro stations after receiving a bomb alert.
