The consulting firm Cambridge Analytica, which was involved in the Facebook data management scandal of tens of millions of users, announced "the immediate cessation of all its activities".

According to its announcement, the company has filed for bankruptcy in the United Kingdom and is ready to initiate bankruptcy proceedings in the United States.

Nigel Oaks, founder of the SCL group to which Cambridge Analytica belongs, confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that both companies are closing.

The newspaper reported, citing anonymous sources, that the decision was made because the companies are losing customers and are facing increasing court costs from the investigation into the Facebook case.
