The implementation of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, with priority for scheduling appointments to be given to specific groups of people at increased risk for serious illness. From Sunday, April 11, at 8 am, until Monday, April 12, at 8 pm, 7,500 Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccination appointments will be available through the Vaccination Portal at Vaccination Centers in all Provinces, with availability of each vaccine by analogy.

Priority for vaccination will be given to 7,200 patients, registered in the General Health System, as determined on the basis of scientific criteria by the Scientific Advisory Committee and the ad hoc Committee for the prioritization of vulnerable groups. The cooperation of both scientific companies and the Pancyprian Medical Association and the Patients 'Associations through the Federation of Patients' Associations of Cyprus was enormous and important for the preparation of patient registers. It is noted that the requests from Specialist Doctors received after the deadline for submission have been included in the majority, while for those that could not be included in the current phase, will be satisfied later.

In particular, the following patients, regardless of age, will be able to schedule their vaccination on April 11 and 12:

Severe Chronic Respiratory Disease
Severe Chronic Kidney Disease
Severe Heart Failure
Severe Cardiovascular Disease
Congenital heart disease after surgical correction with significant residual damage or uncorrected congenital heart disease with significant residual damage
Patients with hemoglobinopathies
Patients with a history of transplantation
People with immunodeficiency, oncological cases and hematological malignancies
Patients with quadriplegia - Neurological Diseases with impaired respiratory function
People with Down Syndrome
Patients receiving biological agents and approved by the Pharmaceutical Services on a nominal request.
Patients in the above groups will be informed of their priority for appointments and by text message, provided that their contact details are complete and correct.

It is reminded again that in the case of patients who are not beneficiaries of GESS or who receive medicinal products that fall into the specific categories privately, they will be given priority for vaccination, based on the above criteria, after confirmation of their treating physician and sending a request to the electronic address emvoliasmos.eidikes@moh.gov.cy, where the patient will be interested in vaccination, the Identification Number / Identification Document Number, contact phone number will be recorded, the group of patients belonging will be mentioned and the relevant certificate of the therapist will be attached doctor.

As of April 9, 183,225 vaccinations had been given, of which 130,937 were for the first dose and 1 were for both doses.
