According to the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, vaccinations of the population continue on the basis of age criterion. Priority for arranging appointments will be on Friday, April 9, from 8 am to 8 pm, only people aged 59 and 60 years. A total of 15,020 vaccination appointments will be available at Vaccination Centers across Cyprus, the announcement said.
It is added that this arrangement was made after consultation with the Ministry of Innovation, to reduce the technical issue by overloading the system. For this purpose, older people (aged 61 and over) will not have access to the Vaccination Portal on Friday, but will be given the opportunity to make an appointment by analogy, on Saturday, April 10. More details will be announced on Friday.
As of April 7, a total of 174.626 vaccinations have been given, of which 124.165 concern the administration of the first dose and 1 the administration of both doses of the vaccine. The first dose of the vaccine has so far been given to 50.461 people who fall into its vulnerable groups
