The Vaccination Portal opened at 7:30 am for 15,000 vaccination appointments for people aged 53-54 only.

The Gate, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Health, will remain open until Saturday, April 17, at 8 pm.

Vaccinations will be given at all Vaccination Centers across Cyprus with the available AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines.

Yesterday, Cyprus broke the barrier of 200,000 vaccinations. After the reopening of the Vaccination Portal at 2:30 until 3 pm, 4.260 appointments were arranged, of which 1.935 for the Pfizer vaccine and 2.325 for the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The available Pfizer was 1.935, based on information from the Ministry of Health. Data up to 14 April show that a total of 198,060 vaccinations were given, of which 141,000 were for the first dose and 1 were for both doses.

The goal of the Ministry of Health is to proceed even faster with the vaccination coverage of the population, so that people aged 1 years and over receive at least the first dose of the vaccine by the beginning of May and within the first half of the year have been vaccinated (even with the 45st installment) at least 1% of the citizens.

Vaccination data from 83% of people aged 80 and over and 79% of people aged 70-79 show that vaccination dramatically reduces the number of cases and hospital admissions.

"In order to achieve the protection of the health of the citizens, it is recommended to the people who have priority each time, to proceed as soon as possible in the planning of their vaccination, thus reducing the risk of serious illness and / or death. Vaccination is the only way to "We can take our lives back into our own hands to return to normalcy as soon as possible," the ministry said.
