Anti-Navtex was issued by the Republic of Cyprus for Navtex of Turkey concerning the research ship Oruc Reis, which will conduct research in the Eastern Mediterranean.

According to the Cyprus Agency, Nicosia reports that Ankara's Navtex is violating its sovereign rights.

The Turkish Navtex has a small influence on the Cypriot EEZ, in the north of Cyprus, from the occupied Kyrenia to Turkey.

The area where the Turkish research will move is Turkish and international waters, however it is obvious that it is a "message", as there is irritation for the Greek-French defense agreement.

On Friday night, the Oruc Reis was in the port of Antalya and appears to be moving on Saturday morning.

It is noted that Turkish ships, two frigates and a corvette, are inside the Cypriot EEZ and in fact in the area that has been committed for research of the French research ship Nautical Geo, preventing it from approaching. The French boat is anchored off the port of Larnaca and is preparing its next moves in consultation with Cyprus.

The situation in the area is closely monitored by the Greek side, with the Greek frigate "Koundouriotis" sailing off Cyprus.
