The president of the Pancyprian Federation of Leisure Center Owners Associations - OSIKA - Neophytos Thrasyvoulou expresses his opposition to the new measures that are expected to be announced tomorrow regarding the leisure centers.

Mr. Thrasyvoulou particularly focused on Paphos and Limassol, provinces for which stricter measures are expected to be taken.

In no case, he adds in his announcement, will they accept the closing of the restaurants at 6 in the afternoon, as it is rumored.

We, as OSIKA, are fighting, he added, for an extension until 12 midnight so that the companies can operate and stand on their own two feet as much as possible under the circumstances.

The leisure centers continued, it is impossible to work until 6 in the afternoon, noting that "if something like this happens, they are putting us in an indirect lockdown, with the consequences being tragic for our colleagues".

He pointed out that from the first moment they follow all the protocols that have been announced and monitor the operation of the centers daily as a Federation, he noted characteristically, making recommendations and suggestions where necessary.

It is unacceptable in Paphos and Limassol for the centers to close at 22.30, and now information is coming for further reduction of working hours, without the owners of the leisure centers having received substantial support from the government, added Mr. Thrasyvoulou.

OSIKA closely monitors what is happening in the field of catering and protects the owners of leisure centers whom it invites to be vigilant and next to their Federation, concluded Mr. Thrasyvoulou.
