The mayor of Aglantzia, Charalambos Petridis, managed to pleasantly surprise us all with his action, who after the revelation that he intended to relinquish the right to use his official vehicle, did so, putting his limousine up for sale.
And this is a rare initiative not only for Cyprus, but also for the rest of the world, which cannot go unnoticed.
The most touching thing is that the money that will be collected from the sale of his official vehicle, but also the maintenance costs, which amount to five thousand euros per year, as well as the fuel, will be distributed to citizens of Aglantzia who have real need.
Offers until the end of the week
As mentioned in the ad, the interested parties are invited to submit their offer to the Municipality of Aglantzia, in a closed envelope, in which the details of the sender, the number and the title of the offer are written.
The envelope should be submitted in the offer box of the Municipality, Aikaterini Kornaro 8, 2108 Aglantzia, no later than next Friday, July 26, 2019 at 12:00.
The bid award criterion will be the highest bid price.

Actions such as that of Mayor Aglantzias to renounce the right to use his luxury limousine are rare. And this was recognized by the citizens, as the comments on social media were more than praiseworthy.
