Maria Koliou, Professor of Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases at the Medical School of the University of Cyprus, spoke on the front page about the scenarios on the table for possible relaxations.
In particular, he said that some relaxations can be made under the condition of strict measures based on protocols. Of course, the red line is the admissions to the hospitals and mainly the beds in the Intensive Care Units.
Answering a relevant question, he noted that the focus will raise another factor of increase of incidents. He added that the schools have contributed a lot to the increase that has been observed lately. There are many incidents in primary schools with an executive who does not discriminate on the basis of age.
On the other hand, he expressed concern as to the extent to which strict measures could be put in focus.
He noted that the Minister of Health, Konstantinos Ioannou, yesterday examined various scenarios on how some relaxations could be done.
Asked if the outdoor scenario could only be applied to catering, she said yes.
