The leadership of the Base Police in Cyprus, the Dekelia Police Station and the Authorities of the communities that fall within the boundaries of the Bases in Eleftheris Amos, combined the coming of Christmas with an act of love for the families of seven children living on the borders of the British Bases.

Yesterday, on Christmas Eve, the children's parents received the same amount of € 2.255 for the needs they face. The money came after a recent charity event in the villages on the outskirts of the Bases, which was initiated by British Base Police Chief in Cyprus Chris Air.

Specifically, together with the Police Director of Dhekelia, Andreas Pitsillidis, and other volunteers, at a recent charity event, they plowed the main streets of the communities, collecting money for the above purpose. The charity cycling, according to Mr. Pitsillidis, was also dedicated to road safety, but also to the memory of police officer Savvas Konstantinos who lost his life in a road accident a few months ago.

Traveling from the area of Vrysoullon - Acheritou to Dhekelia 33 total kilometers, the cyclists managed to sensitize the public. The event presentation of the checks that took place at the offices of the Community Council of Achna, was attended by the community leaders and representatives of the communities of Avgoros, Vrysoullos - Acheritos, Achna Forest, Xylotympos, Ormidia, Xylofagou and EAC - Dhekelia.

Receiving the checks, they thanked Mr. Air, who in turn thanked the participants in the event, but especially those who generously contributed to its sacred purpose. At the same time, I wish a Merry Christmas to the families of the children, but also to the entire Cypriot people.
