The battle for life was lost today by 26-year-old Georgios Chatziioannidis, who was critically injured in a car accident that occurred on April 28, 2021, on the road Kantou - Omodos, Limassol province.
The unfortunate young man, formerly from Greece, was a resident of the village of Mallia and was injured on the morning of April 28, when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the opposite direction of traffic, resulting in a collision with a double-cab vehicle, driven by a 70-year-old.
Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was transferred from the Limassol General Hospital to the Nicosia General Hospital and then to the EOKA Fighters' Club in Palodia, while he was then transferred again to the Limassol General Hospital, where he died today.
The legal autopsy on his body is expected to take place next Monday, September 6, at the morgue of the Limassol General Hospital.
