The Meteorological Department issued a yellow storm warning.
According to the Meteorological Service, the warning concerns strong storms and will be valid from 11 this morning, Tuesday, until 1900.
As it is noted, isolated strong storms are expected to affect the area from time to time, while the intensity of the rain is expected to range between 35-50 mm per hour, while hail is likely to fall.

Low pressure and unstable gas mass affect the area.
Today the weather will initially be partly cloudy with the possibility of isolated rains mainly in the west, to gradually become mostly cloudy with local rains and isolated thunderstorms. Hail is also likely to fall in storm areas. The winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest, weak to moderate 3 to 4 beauforts and temporarily on the south coast, up to strong 5 beauforts. The sea will be a little turbulent to turbulent. The temperature will rise to 30 degrees inland, to 27 on the west coast, around 29 on the rest of the coast and to 20 in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear but temporarily there will be increased low clouds. During the dawn hours, local and sparse fog is likely to form. On Friday the weather will be mostly clear but in the afternoon there will be temporarily increased clouds in the afternoon. The temperature will gradually rise to be above the average climatic values.
