Three new flu deaths were recorded in the last 48 hours, bringing the total number of flu-related deaths to 12.

In today's announcement, the Ministry of Health mentions the three new cases concerning patients who were already hospitalized in state hospitals, while noting that all three patients belong to the vulnerable groups of the population and had serious underlying diseases.

According to the competent Ministry, "the activity of the flu during the period from February 1 until today remains increased, although in the last three weeks there has been a decrease in its activity, compared to the previous weeks", adding that "from the monitoring network of "Since December 1, 56 serious cases of influenza have been recorded, which have been treated in large hospitals".

"Although the flu activity continues," he adds, "the disease has generally been in remission for the last three weeks compared to before. This decrease is particularly noticeable in the child population ".

Also, the Ministry of Health states that "there has been a decline in the new admissions for influenza in all hospitals", while adding that "serious cases continue to be treated in various hospitals".
