An altruistic act was carried out by the Medical Director of Polis Chrysochous Hospital, Marios Theodorou, in order to raise the amount for the treatment of little Loukas Stavros, who needs to go abroad with his parents, after being diagnosed with leukemia.

In his statements to KYPE, Mr. Theodorou mentioned that he has for sale a handmade unique violin made of olive wood at the price of 2000 euros. The handmade violin has a better sound, he says, than the electric violin. This amount will be given, he continued, to little Luka Stavrou, who is giving his own fight with leukemia.

As Mr. Theodorou mentioned, he made the violin three years ago, without its purpose being the sale. I made it, he continued, as an amateur, noting that everything he has made so far he keeps for his house or offers as gifts.

Asked about the time of construction, he said that it took more than 60 hours of work. He mastered the art of making handmade musical instruments himself, after searching for pieces of wood in nature. Once, he said, he found the specific piece of wood, he decided to use it to make the violin.

It is noted that the State has taken over the entire amount of the treatment of little Lucas, however his parents, who have three other children, can not afford the huge amount that will be needed for their transfer there. Mr. Theodorou, who has been the Medical Director of Polis Chrysochous Hospital since 2006, invited those interested in the violin to contact him at 99 393 226.
