The candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, will launch within the week the presentation of the pre-election program and his positions, focusing on Education and the issues surrounding it, as he said on the air of the program "DISPATCH OF NEWS" on SPOR FM 95,0 .

The contributions of persons and companies to parties

Asked to initially comment on the infamous issue of contributions by naturalized investors and companies, Nikos Christodoulidis stated his belief that a framework should be created and "recipes" used in other EU member states should be adopted. In a question about the "ethical part" of the issue that is emerging, the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic revealed that the ethical dimension emerged through his dialogue with society, stressing that an anti-corruption culture must be cultivated starting from education and reaching governance.

With a frontispiece on Education

He added that education affects horizontally all the issues that arise in society and that is why he and his staff consciously chose the first topic that they will present in a series of seminars that will be held on a pan-Cypriot basis to be that of Education. Responding to those who raised concerns about the absence of a program and seats, he stated that within the current week the presentation will begin, while the program will be posted on his website and will be presented throughout Cyprus, giving the world the opportunity to participate and be informed, while emphasizing that it is the first candidate to present his complete program.

He made special reference to the needs he identified saying specifically that "We should get away from the direction of the education system that aims to cover as much material as possible and emphasize the development of critical thinking and the development of skills."

The mosaic of programming statements

Asked how easy it was for him and his staff to reach final programmatic statements when his support framework comes from people and parties from different schools and with diametrically opposed beliefs on some issues, Nikos Christodoulidis stated again that his candidacy it is independent and was announced before receiving the support of any party, with him considering dialogue with society to be decisive for its preparation. This friction made him wiser, as he mentioned, while he clearly understood better the issues of the citizen's daily life, what bothers him, what he wants to change. He then added that he did not receive support as he was vacant, but he presented before parties the way he approaches various issues, there was an exchange of views and he concluded by saying that there are of course issues on which there are disagreements.

Survival is the primary concern – To create perspectives

Finally, to a question about how he listens to the needs of the citizens in relation to the Cyprus issue and the economy, he identified that, especially with regard to the youth, there is no perception that the current situation in the Cyprus issue is not the worst, thus sounding the alarm while he added that the youth are "angry" and society's primary concern is now everyday life and survival. He stood on the need to create perspectives, underlining that "Perhaps the current generation will be the first after World War II that will have fewer opportunities than the previous one" concluding that the program for the economy is clear and based on the fact that we want to lead Cyprus to in 2030 or 2040.
