The Honorary President of the Association of Travel Agents of Cyprus, Akis Kelepesiis, spoke about the tourist destinations in view of Easter on the Front Page.
Specifically, he stated that "this year's Easter is reminiscent of Easter 2019. We have returned approximately to the numbers we circulated in 2019 for Greece. "Unfortunately, it is not observed for other distant countries except Greece, to which Cypriots usually went at Easter and during the summer months".
Asked if there is increased demand, he replied that "people are thirsty to travel. "The limitation of the last two years and the travel deprivation are overcoming all obstacles, such as the war in Ukraine and inflationary trends."
He added that the reservations made for the summer are in all directions and in large numbers.
Regarding the new destinations, he replied that "there are many flights and we make many nice programs for France. This country will have its honor this year, as it has direct flights to many cities, such as Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Toulouse, etc. "
For Greece, according to Mr. Kelepesis, the flight to Kefalonia returned after many years. The area of western Epirus was also upgraded with three flights a week to Preveza, thus paving the way for destinations in the Ionian, with Mr. Kelepesis estimating that it will be the area that will attract most Cypriots.
