Applications for Special Plans opened on Saturday special website to address the effects of the virus COVID-19, for the period from the 1st of February 2021 until the 28th of February 2021, ΄according to the announcement of the Minister. Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance.

More specifically, among the Plans of the Ministry of Labor, the Special Plan for Support of the Unemployed was published, withspecial allowance equal to 500 euros for a period of one month. 

Terms and conditions for joining the unemployed in this Special Plan for Unemployed Support Allowance: 

More specifically, this plan is addressed to any person who is registered as a regular unemployed person in the Register of Public Employment Service throughout the month of January 2021.

The applications of Special Plans for dealing with the effects of the virus were opened a few days ago COVID-19, for. Terms and conditions for joining the unemployed in this Special Plan for Unemployed Support Allowance:

(a) Any person who is registered as a regular unemployed person in the Public Employment Service Register throughout the month of February 2021, received an unemployment benefit for which he has exhausted the right to payment within the period from January 2020 until in December 2020, has not been invited for training or participation in the Plans of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance (including the Plans implemented by the Human Resources Development Authority) and is in the Republic at the time of implementation of the Special Plans, may join Special Unemployment Benefit Scheme, provided that he / she is called to appear at the local offices of the Public Employment Service and it is confirmed that he / she is fit and available for work and has not terminated his / her employment voluntarily, nor has he / she unjustifiably refused a job.

It is understood that the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance will make the necessary arrangements for the appearance of the unemployed in the local offices of the Public Employment Service, if deemed necessary

(b) above submits an electronic application for participation in the Project in the EEC Form.8, which appears in Annex I and is posted on the website of the Ministry (www.coronavirus.mlsi.gov.cy).

(c) The Special Unemployment Support Allowance is paid upon submission of the SEN statement online by the applicant.6 "DECLARATION OF BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS" concerning the statement for the details of the account in which the allowance will be deposited and if it has not already been registered and confirmed.

(d) The Special Allowance will be equal to € 500 for a period of one month.

(e) The Special Unemployment Support Allowance is not provided for any period for which the unemployed person receives unemployment benefit, sickness benefit, maternity benefit, paternity benefit, statutory pension or any other benefit from the Special Plans implemented by the Ministry of Labor, and Social Security in February 2021.

What the applicant should state 

(a) Will responsibly certify that the information entered is true and will accept the consequences of the law for false statement, a fine of up to € 40.000 or imprisonment for up to two (2) years or both in case of conviction for providing false information.

(b) The Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance will be authorized to verify, in cooperation with other competent Authorities of the Republic or abroad and with Organizations / Bodies / Enterprises, any of the information contained in the application is deemed necessary for the examination. of the application and the provision of the allowance.

(c) Explicit consent shall be given for the processing of personal data for the purposes of implementing this Decision, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter III of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons versus processing.

5. Any amount paid to any person who subsequently appears to have either not been a beneficiary or was not liable in full or in part for any allowance or benefit provided under the Extraordinary Measures Taken by the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Security to tackle the virus pandemic COVID 19 Laws of 2020 and the Decisions issued under them, is considered as a debt of this person in the Republic and can be offset with any future benefit provided either under the Social Insurance Law or in any amount payable to this person or to be claimed as a debt due to the Republic. The above provisions also apply to any person who has obtained through false representations the granting of any payment made under the Emergency Measures Taken by the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Security to deal with the Pandemic of the virus COVID 19 Laws and Decisions issued under them.

6. Beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income can also benefit from this Special Plan. The Special Unemployment Benefit to be paid to beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income will be taken into account for purposes of calculating the income taken into account for the purposes of paying the Minimum Guaranteed Income for the period of its payment.

7. It is noted that every possible assistance is provided within the framework of the Good Management but also the purpose of the payment of the benefits to the employees, for the examination of the data of the employees who by mistake did not submit the correct data and documents during the validity of the Plans either by correcting the applications, either by submitting the correct applications, or by paying the benefits to the beneficiaries by Government Check.
