The professor / artist spoke on the show "Mesimeri kai Kati", whose works were released on the internet yesterday and caused a stir. He himself spoke on the SIGMA show and mentioned, among other things, that art is for him a means of expression and communication.

"I feel free to express myself without any limits. I have no limits in my work. I record the world as I experience it. "I do not think the Ministry's artistic expression concerns anyone," he said.

The Metropolitan of Morphou also spoke on the show, emphasizing that "we must be especially responsible towards the new generation. This applies to the clergy and the people. "

The Metropolitan called on the Ministry of Education to take decisions. "Our effort continues and I will not make public the ways. "It is time for the Ministry to address it," said the Metropolitan.

ANNOUNCEMENT ELAM

ELAM today proceeded with a complaint to the Attorney General and the Minister of Education for the indecent act of the professor to paint paintings that insult Orthodoxy and the heroes of Cyprus.

So far there has been no official reaction from the other parties and the relevant bodies and we expect their reaction to such an important and sensitive issue.

As the National Popular Front, we are particularly sensitive to the deliberate insult of our national and religious heritage, identity and conscience as defined in the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus and we consider that such heinous acts have no place in the schools of Cyprus and if they are expressed by teachers. there should be a thorough examination.

Hate-mindedness that offends the Divine should find the Ministry of Education relentless. Public schools must instill a patriotic spirit in our students and not be a vehicle for cultivating discord and insulting the Saints of our Homeland.
