According to a press release from the Ministry of Education, regarding the extraordinary support allowance for artists and other workers in the field of cultural creation, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (YPPAN) announces that this will be paid to the beneficiaries as soon as the criteria in force.
As is well known, the allowance will be given to permanent residents of the Republic of Cyprus, who have artistic / cultural activity and have not taken part in any of the other state support projects.
The Government and the Ministry from the outset decided to provide extraordinary support to the field of cultural creation with this one-time allowance of € 900 and the time that has elapsed so far was necessary in order to ensure issues related to the protection of personal data, such as to verify the details of the applications. Then, in the next few days, the required audit will be carried out in cooperation with other departments and archives of the state and the payment of the allowance will begin as soon as possible.
It is understood that there is an expectation for payment as soon as possible, but there can be no question of "delay", since the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Culture from the first moment and with all diligence carry out the procedures provided and required by law.
The whole reinforcement plan will be carried out as soon as possible, within the next few days, and it should be noted that this is the first time that the world of cultural creation has received such reinforcement, on such a large scale.
