The cases of coronavirus in Cyprus rose to fourteen after the announcement of four other confirmed by the Ministry of Health.

Monday, March 9 - The first two incidents

Chrysostomos Kokkino, director of the Cardiac Surgery Clinic of the General Hospital of Nicosia, who returned from the United Kingdom on March 3. Wednesday, March 11 - Four more incidents

According to the information of the Ministry of Health, two people who arrived from the United Kingdom on March 10, and were recorded with high fever by the thermal camera at the Larnaca Airport doctor's office, were positive for the coronavirus.
A person who was treated in the specially designed areas of the Limassol General Hospital, and who had contacted the competent authorities after he developed a fever. He was a taxi driver from Paphos whose contacts became very difficult to track.

A person who is under house arrest, and who had shown symptoms and contacted the competent authorities.

Three of the four confirmed cases with a coronary artery were already transported to the Famagusta hospital, while one of the four people requested to remain under house arrest.

Thursday, March 12 - Four new incidents on the map

New cases of coronavirus were confirmed today by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.

These concern:

A person who recently returned from the United Kingdom and after showing symptoms, contacted the 1420 call center.

A person who was treated in the specially designed areas of the Limassol General Hospital, and who had returned from Italy and contacted the competent authorities after he showed mild symptoms. He was taken to Famagusta Hospital.

A person who is under house arrest, and who had mild symptoms after returning from Greece and contacted the competent authorities. It will remain under house arrest

And a person who is in self-limitation, and who arrived from Germany, which falls into Category 2 which provides for self-limitation. The person is asymptomatic and will remain in self-limitation.

Friday, March 13 - 4 new incidents are announced by the Ministry. Health

Four new positive cases of coronavirus in Cyprus were announced on Friday by the Ministry of Health. This means that so far the confirmed cases in the Republic of Cyprus have reached 14 in total.
"According to the latest information received today by the Ministry of Health from the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, four new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed," reads a statement from the Ministry of Health.

Specifically, these are:

Two people who are under house arrest and had recently returned from Athens and contacted the competent authorities after they showed symptoms.

Two people under house arrest, who had close contact with confirmed cases.

It is worth noting that from the update so far all confirmed incidents are in good condition.

Five confirmed incidents in the occupied territories

Three new cases of coronavirus were detected in the occupied territories, according to an announcement by the "Ministry of Health", raising the number to five.

According to reports in the occupied areas, the two cases concern German tourists, who developed a fever yesterday and were transported to the "state hospital" in occupied Nicosia.
