The administration of the non-boosting / 4th dose to people over 60 starts tomorrow, Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Health, the beneficiaries will be able to receive the booster / 4th installment by arranging an appointment at the vaccination portal, or through the vaccination centers of free access (walk in) that operate in all provinces, provided that the period has passed. five months after taking the 3rd dose.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that the Spyros Kyprianou vaccination center in Limassol from Tuesday, April 26, 2022, will operate temporarily at the Linopetra Health Center, due to sports activities.

Specifically, the booster / 4th dose is administered to persons over 60 years of age (presenting an identity card or passport and the vaccination card), to persons regardless of age who live or work in nursing homes and closed structures (presenting an identity card or passport and the vaccination card), to health professionals regardless of age, and in immunocompromised and immunocompromised patients regardless of age. Applicants must present an identity card or passport, a vaccination card and a license to practice for health professionals.

The Ministry of Health notes that immunodeficient and immunosuppressed patients can come to the walk-in centers by presenting a medical certificate from a specialist (identity card or passport, vaccination card) or may be interested in making an appointment for an immunization address: 4dose@moh.gov.cy.

As for immunosuppressed patients, the Ministry states that the beneficiaries for the fourth dose are those who are in active treatment for solid tumors and hematological malignancies, have a history of solid organ transplantation and receive immunosuppressive treatment, receive transplant transplant history and with hereditary immunodeficiency, with HIV / AIDS, in immunosuppressive therapy including biological agents and persons with renal insufficiency undergoing dialysis or peritoneal dialysis.

Regarding cortisone intake, it is indicated that it refers to individuals who have received or are receiving a total dose of ›10 mg prednisone / day (= 8 mg methylprednisolone) for one month in the last six months.

Vaccination center schedule (walk in):

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Vaccination centers:

  • Nicosia: State Exhibition
  • Larnaca: Larnaca Old Hospital
  • Limassol: Linopetra Health Center
  • Paphos: Paphos General Hospital
  • Famagusta: Famagusta Health Center
    Kyperounta: Vaccination center (former SEA)
  • Poli Chrysochous: Polis Chrysochous Hospital (every Tuesday 09:30 am to 02:00 pm).

It is noted that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available daily in the walk-in centers.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is also available every Friday.

The Novavax vaccine can only be given by appointment.
