Although 8 years have passed and despite the promises of the President of the Republic, the Minister of Finance, MPs, party officials and in general, that the people who were cut to save the economy, must be restored, unfortunately nothing has been done, reports D .Σ. of the Depositors Association of the once state-owned Laiki Bank (SYKALA).

In an open letter to the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis, the Minister of Finance Konstantinos Petridis and the members of the Association, SYKALA states that "on the eve of the 2018 presidential elections, it was announced at the entrance of the presidential palace, from the most official lips of the time. Minister of Finance Haris Georgiadis, the famous Solidarity Fund and adds that "we are entering the fourth year and we are still in the process of preparing the incomprehensible criteria of the EU type introduced by the Ministry of Finance".

"The whole course of the work of the Solidarity Fund committee does not leave us room for confidence, on the contrary, the unprecedented delay in decision-making", as SYKALA states, "and the constant involvement of irrelevant issues, puts us in thoughts and suspicions". The Association wonders "how it is possible to complete the process in a reasonable time, which is the mission of the Fund, with two meetings a year and the incomprehensible requirements of the criteria set."

"We call on you to rise to the occasion and feel the weight and responsibility that you have in the issue of rehabilitation of the victims, which is also a matter, primarily, of moral order", concludes SYKALA.
