Unknown persons vandalized and uprooted the Dimitris Christofias Avenue signs that were placed on the former Geriou Avenue (after the avenue was renamed), in the Geriou Municipality.
AKEL MP Christos Christofias announced the vandalism through a post on social media, where he uploaded photos and wrote, among other things, that "... they fear us dead more".
The AKEL MP also points out that "within a few days, some brazen night owls repeatedly destroyed the signs in Geri after the official renaming of Geri Avenue to Dimitris Christofias Avenue".
“How much hatred, how much intolerance, how much fascism? The answer lies in our struggles. May the darkness become light...", stressed Christos Christofias.
