The Ministry of Health announced that Free availability of self tests from Pharmacies will start today (December 21) and citizens can receive the package of five self tests in a period of one month from the start of the procedure once.

It further clarifies that the beneficiaries of GESS will receive the self tests, from the pharmacies contracted with GESS, with the presentation of proof of identification, adding that the package includes five self tests and citizens will have the opportunity to perform the test voluntarily, to determine if they are positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

He notes that in case of a positive result, Citizens should contact their Personal Physician to refer them for PCR examination to the Public Health Clinics in their province of residence.

Citizens who are not beneficiaries of GESS, but have completed their vaccination regimen in Cyprus, either with two doses for dual-dose vaccines or one dose of single-dose vaccine, or received the booster / 3rd dose of the vaccine, can receive the package containing the five self tests from points announced , daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In case of a positive result, citizens should contact the Coordination Center of Public Health Clinics at the email: coordination.iatreiadygeias@moh.gov.cy by sending the identification details (name, surname, telephone, ID number, date of birth and province), as well as a photo of your positive self-test.
