In the next few days, the evaluation of the applications will begin and the beneficiaries will be informed about the pre-approval of their application.
According to the GTP, based on the large number of applications, the first phase of the Plan is evaluated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works as successful, with the number of available approvals for the first phase being exceeded in almost all categories.
The Ministry of Transport adds that the National target is that by 2030 25% of new vehicle registrations will be electric with the ultimate goal of increasing this percentage to 100% by 2035.
According to the Ministry, "the huge response of the citizens to the Sponsorship Plan for the Purchase of an Electric Vehicle shows in practice that this goal can be achieved".
As mentioned, during the first phase (December 20, 2021 - January 3, 2022) of the Plan, 360 applications were submitted for a new electric vehicle for private use for 3.396 approval numbers, which exceed the approvals by 943%.
For a new electric taxi vehicle, 84 applications were submitted for 24 approvals, which exceed the approvals by 350%.
For 13 approvals for the purchase of a new electric wheelchair, 27 applications were submitted, exceeding the approvals by 208%
For a new electric vehicle of a large family, 60 applications were submitted for 13 approvals, which exceed the approvals by 462%.
Furthermore, the applications for a used electric vehicle for private use amounted to 405, 320 approvals, which exceed the approvals by 127%.
For a used electric taxi vehicle and 25 approvals, 12 applications were submitted, covering the approvals at 48%.
For a used electric wheelchair, 6 applications were submitted for 15 approvals, covering the approvals at 40%.
Regarding the used electric vehicle of a large family, the 26 applications for 15 approvals exceed 173%.
For mopeds - motorcycles the 103 approvals with 320 applications are covered by 329%.
900% of the 10 approvals for L6e (B) and L7e (C) -small four-wheel drive are exceeded as the applications reached 90.

The Ministry reminds that, once the application is approved, the beneficiary has a period of two months to present proof of order of the new / used electric vehicle and a period of 12 months to register the electric vehicle. The sponsorship is given with the registration of the vehicle, within 12 months from the final approval.
Finally, the Ministry of Transport states that the Sponsorship Plan for the Purchase of Electric Bicycles will be implemented on January 17, 2022, adding that more details will be announced at a later stage.
