Welcoming the decoration of the Christmas Tree for the Missing in Nicosia, the Presidential Commissioner said that "the decoration of the tree with the photos of our missing symbolizes the responsibilities of Turkey, the ongoing drama of relatives, many of whom have left life, but also our unfulfilled debt to determine the fate of all without exception our missing ".

He added that this debt "will forever burden our consciences and it will be a shame for everyone if we can not do what history and our national conscience impose on us."

Mr. Fotiou conveyed to the relatives of the missing "the warm greetings, respect, appreciation and support of the President of the Republic and his assurance that he will continue to work with all his forces to resolve this humanitarian problem."

Concluding, he thanked the President and the members of the Pancyprian Organization of Relatives of Unidentified Prisoners and Missing Persons for their cooperation and assistance, as well as the Radio Marathon Volunteer Group for their contribution and contribution to the realization of today's event. A missing person tree was also erected in Limassol.
