The economic stability of Cyprus is endangered if the populist approaches to the economy prevail, said the president of the Democratic Alarm Averof Neophytou.
Speaking in the third program of RIK, Mr. Neophytou, on the occasion of the announcement of the candidacy of President Anastasiadis for a second presidential term, said that it is not the nice words, but what the nice words bring, when you are not prudent in the economic and fiscal treatment of this country . We must be ready to repel populism in the economy, he added, because with the stability and growth we are experiencing today, there is a risk of reliving economic uncertainty.
Speaking about the Cyprus issue, Averof Noefytou stated that there is a national danger with extreme positions that essentially refer to seeking a solution to the Cyprus issue outside the parameters of the United Nations, which will put Cyprus in a very difficult position. The extreme positions only ensure that the talks will never resume, said the president of the Democratic Alarm.
