The Cyprus issue was the focus of President Anastasiadis' meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
The talks between the two leaders are particularly important in view of the upcoming visit of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to Athens.
The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, who briefed on his recent contacts in Ankara.
Alexis Tsipras, welcoming President Anastasiadis at the Maximos Palace, stated that in order to achieve a fair and sustainable solution to the Cyprus problem, a National Line is needed.
For his part, President Anastasiadis said that a fair and sustainable solution would come through the cooperation of the Eastern Mediterranean.
