With extensive reports on Milos, the British and Indian media continue to highlight the beauties of the island. Specifically, the English and Indian versions of the Conde Nast Traveler present Milos as an ideal Greek destination with publications - an anthem for the Cycladic island.

It was preceded by the Guardian with an equally impressive tribute, while a few days earlier the Times of India had also "recommended" the island of Aphrodite to their readers for their summer vacation.

Tourism is on the gas

Greek tourism is making a big splash in May, as the first data show.

For the first 15 days, more than 1 million seats on incoming international flights have been planned, according to the Recovery Tracker of the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises.

Compared to the current week (April 25 to May 1), in the first seven days of May there is an increase in the number of scheduled positions by 27,9%, while in the second week of May there is a further increase compared to the immediately preceding by 1,8%.

Visitors from Britain (270.000 seats) show a special preference in our country, followed by the Germans (230.000 seats). They are followed by France, Italy and the Netherlands.

Indicative of the high demand from the United Kingdom is that the low-cost airline easyJet announced new routes to Kefalonia, Kos, Corfu and Chania. At the same time, it strengthened the offer of seats at the airports of Gatwick, Luton, Bristol and Manchester to three more Greek first-line destinations, Santorini, Mykonos and Rhodes.

In terms of destinations that will welcome the largest volume of foreign tourists in the first days of May, Athens is in first place, with more than 360 thousand travelers expected to land at Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". Great mobility is also recorded for the airport of Heraklion, followed by Rhodes, which… presses the accelerator in the second 15 days of May, and Thessaloniki and Corfu complete the top five.
