Artichoke meatballs in Italian

A wonderful appetizer that can be made as a main course

Ingredients

  • 8 hearts
  • 1 cup flour g.o.t.x.
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • half a glass of beer
  • 3 tbsp. fresh mint
  • 3 tbsp. parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 egg
  • ½ φλ. grated kefalotyri
  • 1 cup oil
  • pepper and salt

Implementation

step 1

We use fresh artichokes. We clean them by removing the stalk, the leaves and the fluff, we pass them through lemon juice and we immerse them in water with the juice of a lemon and a little flour, so that they do not turn black.

Then, put them to boil in water with salt and a little lemon. Boil for about 20 minutes until the heart is soft. Drain them and leave them to cool.

Put the rest of the ingredients except the oil in a bowl and mix. Finely chop our artichokes and add them to our mixture. Put the oil in a pan to burn and pour with the help of a spoon the mixture into the pan. Remember that each spoon is also a meatball.

When he comes off from the pan easily, turn it over and on the other side to brown. Place them on absorbent paper to drain the excess oil and serve.
