A blowing whale that died after being washed up on Harris Island in Scotland had in its stomach "a ball of garbage" weighing 100 kilos.
The news was broadcast on the BBC website, while now the shocking photos are making the rounds of the world.
Experts say it is not yet clear whether these objects contributed to the whale's death, but that alone highlights the huge problem of marine pollution.
