Those citizens who have not already donated blood are invited by the Ministry of Health to come to the blood donation stations and dedicate 10 minutes of their time and 450ml of their blood, thus saving three lives, as it notes on the occasion of World Volunteer Blood Donor Day on June 14.
A statement from the Ministry of Health states that its motto for 2022 is "blood donation is an act of solidarity. Be part of the effort, save lives ".
"Voluntary Blood Donation is undoubtedly the highest expression of solidarity and offering to our fellow human beings and a great practical act of love and humanity," he added.
The Ministry of Health and the Blood Center congratulate "all the volunteers, who over time have shown their feelings of altruism and solidarity for their suffering fellow human beings, making Cyprus one of the few countries whose blood needs are met only by blood donors."
At the same time, he calls on "those who have not donated blood, especially young people, to come to the blood donation stations and dedicate 10 minutes of their time and 450 ml of their blood, thus saving three lives."
