The abuse of the Greek language

a 1 Dimitris Kyriakou, Greek Language, Speak Greek

Unfortunately, and I write it with great regret, the Greek language is being abused by organizations that should be very careful and by people with positions that should be an example of proper use of the language. Universities, banks, ministries and people with high public positions abuse and misuse Greek and especially in written language, since in oral speech everyone is rightly wrong in the rhetoric of speech.

>> From the Ministry you see on the street the sign that says: "Pedestrians are not allowed on the highway"  now who drives the pedestrians do not tell us… The verb I move it means that someone is transporting something.

The right thing to do: "It is forbidden to walk on the highway."

>> From University you read on a road sign: "Sports Science" now how sporty science is and in what sport we are not told. We laugh…

The right: "Sports Science or Physical Education and Sports Science"

>> From a bank you read on a sign on the street: "Agricultural loans" and "Rural runner" but they do not tell us where to find these agricultural products and what prices they have. Do not laugh, cry…

The correct one: "Loans for farmers and current farmers".

>> From a bank president who wrote: "I hope the loan settlement process doesn't take long" now that they have studied rhetoric the procedures to speak at length did not tell us.

The right thing to do: "Don't waste time on procedures."

Conclusion: "Semi-learning worse than ignorance"

Statement: we all make mistakes but when they stay for a long time on huge road signs it is something other than a mistake.
