In the 3rd round of the Olympic men's tennis tournament, Stefanos Tsitsipas qualified as he prevailed over the American Francis Tiafoe (No54) with 6-3, 6-4.

With this victory, Tsitsipas made it two in two after his victory in the first round over the German Philipp Kohlschreiber (No 112).

Stefanos Tsitsipas got a rematch for his exclusion from Tiafoe in the first round of Wimbledon, a few weeks ago.

Tsitsipas' opponent in the "16" will be the winner of the match between the French Hugo Iber and the Serb Miomir Ketsmanovic.

In the match, Tsitsipas won the first set relatively easily in 39 minutes, as he led 0-3 and 1-4. The American, however, managed to get the first game of the second set, made it 2-1, to react Stefanos Tsitsipas making it 2-4. After the 3-4 from Tiafoe, Tsitsipas did not leave room for his opponent in the next game, he appeared even better from the service position, he was excellent in the returns and he played more comfortably on the lines.

Tsitsipas easily made it 3-5. And after Tiafoe 4-5, Tsitsipas was sweeping for 4-6, proving that he is one of the big favorites for the podium.
