The 3th Traditional Festival of the Municipality of Sotira takes place on July 7, organized by the Culture Committee of the Municipality.
A written announcement of the Municipality of Sotira states that the event "aims to highlight the traditional element of our place through various artistic events, dance, song, gastronomy and exhibition of Cypriot professions. The Festival has become an institution in the cultural events of the province of Famagusta but also of Cyprus in general ".
The Festival will take place on Tuesday, July 3 at seven in the evening in the courtyard of the Holy Temple of the Transfiguration of the Savior, and will include a traditional feast with the two popular traditional singers in Greece and Cyprus, Areti Ketime and Vasiliki Hatziadamou, accompanied by well-known musicians complexes of the province of Famagusta.
The program will also include a presentation of tsiattists by folk poets, an exhibition of traditional professions, and a tasting of traditional dishes.
Admission for the public to the Festival is free.
