Together in life, together in death.

Chryssa Spilioti and Dimitris Tournavitis lost their lives after the deadly fire that broke out in eastern Attica. The couple's funeral took place yesterday Tuesday (31/07), where friends and relatives said their "last goodbye".

As it became known days ago, the families of Spilioti and Tournavitis did not want journalists to be present at their funeral. Nevertheless, Anneta Papathanassiou, a close friend of the couple, posted through her personal account on Facebook the funeral, even revealing the tragic irony for the actress.

Read what the actress says in her post:

"My friends, thank you all for your support and your moving messages for Chryssa and Dimitris. I could not write to you personally. But I publish the words I wrote and read in church at the joint funeral of my loved ones.

"My Chryssa and Dimitris, a lot of people have come to your last show…

Chrysa, I have written so much about you to talk about today and I deleted everything. Where are you to fix them for me? We were together the day before yesterday and you are correcting a text that I wrote and now, what I am writing about you, where should I send it to you to correct it? You write very personally, you told me, write more neutrally. And now only I can personally write:

- I want to remind you that we arranged to go for a ride on Dimitris's boat, that do not forget, we have to pay VAT. Remember to make the statement?

I want to complain to you that again I forgot where I put my keys. That I do not find them and maybe I have Alzheimer's and you for the umpteenth time advise me to take an agenda and write that I have to do and answer you κάνω I do it find Chryssa but then I do not find the agenda… and laugh. We laughed a lot. Ah my Chryssa, you went through a lot and hard, but when you called me to tell them, we always laughed at the end of our problems and said that since we are well this matters. And now my sweet we are not well…

We wrote together and played in "Fota Parakalo", we were two clowns, funny, we wanted to teach the children the process of theater through laughter. In my house you wrote "Who Discovered America". We read each scene at night and in the morning we read it again. Then you wrote "The Scottish Shower" and there in the dressing room at the Ilisia Volonakis Theater I talked to you about Dimitris.

I met Dimitris in Andros, we were waiting in line for the ship and Dimitris in a De Se Bo with many things, with the dog, little Aliki and a turtle as Aliki called me, gave me information. We met and became friends. He introduced us to the paths of Andros. The streams…

He was calm sweet. Musician, fisherman, athlete. In my mind then I thought that he might have matched Chryssa. And indeed, they matched, there was no better and more bonded couple. They supported each other, they loved each other and now they will be together, there.

In her last play: "I, Nikolaos Mantzaros", Chryssa in the show started by lighting a match. He blew it and spoke to us:

"Σα I ran it out of my grave. A fire broke out in the cemetery and I started to burn! Ε! I said no, I did not burn alive, to burn dead? I wished with all my heart that I would disappear… it was done with a miracle!… "

He managed to pop it, viva la liberta. They broke it together with Dimitris and left us… ".
